I purchased this set and several additional dark fusion serveware. The colors are beautiful – just as pictured. I love the matte black side, which gives depth to the overall pattern and a very polished look. Dishwasher safe and microwave safe are a must in a contemporary household, and these fit the bill. The Egyptian clay pottery is lighter than many in the US, not as light as porcelain, of course, and the lighter weight is much nicer. They do get warm in the microwave. Each piece arrived impressively, and individually well packed. No breakage, no issues. I am ordering more now that we’ve seen the quality of beauty of the Dark Fusion set.

Each one of these plates and bowls is slightly different than any other. It’s clear that each one is hand made. We have already used them for company a couple of times. They make the table look so elegant. I used black and silver place matts and a gleaming aluminum charger and black cloth napkins. The plates were the stars. They are worth every cent.
